Day 10: Travel Organizers. 31 Cheap and Easy DIY Organizers

Day 10 – Travel Organizers {31 Cheap & Easy DIY Organizers}

Spread the love

Think you have to spend a lot of money on costly organizing tools to get your house in order?  Nope!  Getting organized doesn’t have to be expensive!

Today I’m showing you some cheap and easy DIY organizers you can use when you travel.  There’s a whole industry for travel organizing products, but many of them are very expensive.  These DIY ideas will help you keep everything organized when you’re living out of a suitcase.

  • These DIY travel bags are for shoes and are made from the fabric bags you get when you buy sheets.  You could probably DIY something similar to these out of old pillow cases too.  It’s great how they keep your shoes together and away from your clothes in your suitcase!

Organize and Decorate Everything

  • This is a really simple idea.  Use a pencil case for your toiletries!  These clear ones even make it easy to see everything inside.  You can use different coloured pencil cases for each family member.  These are really cheap during back to school sales, but the rest of the year you can often find them at the dollar store too.  You could use them for small electronics or cords too.

  • And for necklaces while you’re traveling, here’s the cheapest and easiest idea of all!  Just use a hand towel to roll your necklaces up and they won’t get tangled!  This works for cords and chargers too. You can keep an old one just for this purpose or you can just use one of your regular hand towels.  Either way it’s free!  And so easy 🙂

I’m An Organizing Junkie

I love that each of these ideas is using items you probably have around your home and that they really don’t even require any effort to use!

How do your organize when you’re traveling?  Do you have any DIY organizers you can share?  Which of these ideas do you think you’ll use the next time you travel?
