Virtual Organizing
Virtual organizing services may be perfect for you if any of the following apply:
- You live outside of the From Overwhelmed To Organized service area
- You are willing to do the work of decluttering and organizing but need help getting started
- You’d like some tips to help you achieve your goals
- You need accountability to stay on track
- You are concerned about having someone in your home
How virtual organizing works
- You contact me to discuss your needs, goals, timeline, and budget (can be via phone, email, text, or Zoom)
- If you decide to proceed we set a date for our first session and you sign an electronic agreement form
- At the end of the session you e-transfer the fees to From Overwhelmed To Organized and we schedule the next session
- Fees are the same as in-person organizing and are available hourly or in a 10-hour package
Hilda your advice was the BEST!!
“Hilda your advice was the BEST!! I tried other cleaning routines and did not have any luck. The cleaning schedule advice you gave was flexible, so that helped with my hubby’s flexible work schedule. Working with you online through email was helpful also because of my location overseas. Thank you!”
-Becca (virtual client)
What to expect during a virtual organizing session
- We meet via Zoom - typically a mobile device works best so you can show me around the space - it’s also helpful to be able to stand the device up somewhere so your hands are free to work and we can still see each other
- You show me the space(s) you’d like help with, we discuss what is working and not working as well as your vision for the space, and I give suggestions to help your space function better
- I’ll give you tips and guide you as you physically sort, declutter, and organize
- You can take notes, particularly on things you can do after our session is over
- I can give you “homework” to do between sessions if you’d like
- Sessions can either be one-hour long with a primary focus on tips and strategies, or can be longer with you actually decluttering / organizing and me providing advice and accountability as you work
- What we do during virtual organizing sessions is very flexible, depending on your unique circumstances
Notes:
- If you are unable to physically do the decluttering and organizing, you are welcome to include a family member or friend on our sessions - you would still make decisions but they would be your hands and feet to help you achieve your goals
- I’ll do my best to help you through any technical issues, but you are still responsible for payment for time missed from a session due to technical difficulties on your end
- If there are technical problems on my end, I will make up any time missed
