Giving Back
100 Women Who Care
I'm honoured to be a Premier Sponsor for 100 Women Who Care Mississauga. This covers chapter expenses and allows all the funds raised to go directly to the charities we select.
I'm proud to be the VP of Sponsorship for 100 Women Who Care Mississauga. Volunteering on this team is very rewarding!
Charities
A portion of From Overwhelmed To Organized proceeds support the following charities:
I'm blessed to do what I do and live where I live so I enjoy giving back to a variety of charities.
Sick Kids
My daughter recently had surgery to correct her scoliosis. She is doing amazing and we are so grateful to everyone at Sick Kids Hospital! They are so great with kids and really care about their recovery.
Her surgeon not only performed a successful 8-hour surgery, but personally came the next morning and the following morning to walk with her down the hallway and up and down the stairs. Apparently he's the only surgeon who does that.
The nurses were amazing too and helped her adjust to her "new" body.
And all the other hospital staff and volunteers really made her stay as enjoyable as possible.
So this month we want to give back to Sick Kids Hospital and help them to give kids a better Christmas!
Thank you to everyone who joined me in donating to the Sick Kids Foundation Holiday Gifts program. It's tough to be in the hospital at any time of year, but especially during the holidays.
Together we raised at least $835!
And many of the gifts were matched 2X-5X by Kraft.
Thank you SO much for helping make this season a little better for these kids!
If you'd like to still contribute, you can donate directly on the Sick Kids website.
Let me know if you donate so I can thank you!
Thank you for making Christmas special for a sick kid 🙂
Volunteering
I volunteered (along with my family) to decorate a donated Christmas tree at a Salvation Army family shelter. Decorations were donated by From Overwhelmed To Organized. Tree was donated by ChristmasTreeMarket.com.
I have also participated in several volunteer days as part of the Professional Organizers in Canada Halton-Peel Chapter.
