Day 31 – Extra Bits {31 Cheap & Easy DIY Organizers}

Spread the love

Think you have to spend a lot of money on costly organizing tools to get your house in order?  Nope!  Getting organized doesn’t have to be expensive!

Throughout this series I’ve shared ideas to help you organize your home by either

  • making simple organizers with things that don’t cost very much OR
  • using items you already have in a different way.

If cost has been holding you back from getting organized, now you’ve got no more excuses!

It’s day 31!  We’re at the end of this series.

I’ve shared a LOT of cheap and easy DIY organizers this month.  So you can’t use the excuse that organizing is too expensive anymore.  Because there are 100+ ideas in this series that show it isn’t.

Today, I have a few more DIY organizers to show you.  These didn’t fit any particular day’s theme, so I’m including them all here today as “extra bits”.

  • If you have cordless power tools this charging dock will keep your workshop organized.

  • If you’re looking for a way to organize your holiday greeting cards, here’s a DIY Christmas card organizer.  You can make one as fancy or simple as you’d like, depending on your budget and decor preferences.

  • If you have kids’ puzzles taking over your playroom, use pouches to store the pieces in. You can buy these at dollar stores.

  • And one more label idea… because you can never have enough fun DIY label ideas. Here’s one using lids from jars.  Aren’t they cute?

I Heart Organizing

So now that you’ve seen over a hundred cheap and easy DIY organizer ideas, I hope you’re inspired to actually do some organizing!  Don’t just pin these ideas for “later” and then have them waste away online.  Use them!  Pick an idea and just do it!

And whenever you’re organizing a space in your home, come back and check out the DIY Organizers from this series to see how you can save some money and repurpose some items in your home to organize that area.

And speaking of repurposing, as you’re decluttering your home, think about how you can use items that you’re purging in a different way to help you stay organized.  Don’t hang onto clutter “just in case I might use it to organize with someday”… that’s not helping you organize your home!  But if you know you can use something as a DIY organizer right away, then use it.

And the next time you hear a friend, colleague, neighbour, or family member say they wish they had more money so they could get more organized… you can tell them about this series!  No more excuses for not getting organized!

Which DIY organizer idea from this series was your favourite?  How many of these cheap and easy ideas have you implemented this month?  Who do you know who needs these ideas to get organized instead of waiting until they can afford fancy organizers?

Thanks again for being part of this series!
