Day 23 – Repurposed Furniture {31 Cheap and Easy DIY Organizers}

Spread the love

Think you have to spend a lot of money on costly organizing tools to get your house in order?  Nope!  Getting organized doesn’t have to be expensive!

I shared ideas earlier in this series for repurposing dressers to help you organize.  But there are lots of other furniture pieces you can repurpose that will create organizational space.  Here are a few other ideas.

  • If you don’t have a separate room available to use as an office, you can create one in a closet, using a small desk and bookshelves. See how in this post!

  • Another idea for repurposing a dresser is for a workspace in your garage!

  • And if you want to maximize the vertical space in a closet, but don’t want to spend a lot of a closet organizing system, you can add a dresser or a set of bookshelves to the closet.  This gives a lot of extra storage space.

Repurposing furniture is a cheap and easy way to get organized.  You can blend the furniture with your decor and add lots of functionality to your home with the space it provides.  It’s time to think outside the {furniture} box.

If you don’t have extra furniture pieces in your home, check out thrift shops or buy nothing groups online and you’ll find cheap or free pieces. Just measure your space first so you know it will fit!

Have you used a piece of furniture for a different purpose than it was intended?  Do you have an old outgrown TV armoire you could repurpose for something else in your home?
